Trick-or-Treat 2010

November 1, 2010

Last night our good friends invited us over for some Halloween festivities.

First up was the pumpkin. They took turns drawing parts of the face onto the pumpkin.

Then we cut it open for them to scoop out the guts. Nathan wanted to no part in that. He likes to keep his hands clean.

The kids took it upon themselves to take the jack-o-lantern outside. (Once Nathan got to the door, he let go of the pumpkin because he didn't want to go outside with his shoes on. Jack landed on the ground, but luckily, it was a short fall and he survived.)

When they got outside, they saw the neighbours raking leaves and they decided that more than anything else in the world at that moment, they wanted to rake leaves as well.

Raking leaves soon turned into playing in the leaves.

Afterwards, we quickly had dinner, waited for the sun to set and it was time to put on costumes to go out. We went out for a quick walk around the block. It was freezing outside and by the middle of the walk, the kids were so bundled up you could barely tell what they were dressed up as. But it was a great night out!
