We All Scream For Ice Cream
August 29, 2007
I was surfing around yesterday when I stumbled onto a page by the Marble Slab Creamery. When I was in Hong Kong last summer, we saw this in one of the 'grocery' stores. They take whatever flavour of ice cream you want, put it on a frozen slab of granite (or marble, I suppose) and then dump all the toppings you want onto it, and mix it all together for you to make your very own flavour of ice cream. I thought it was a genius idea and was secretly hoping that it would be available in Canada one day. Well, apparently, the Marble Slab Creamery is schedule to open in Toronto some time.. soon. I'm going to keep my eye out for this one. I can't wait.
Other ice cream business: my sister recently bought a set of ice cream sandwich molds from William Sonoma. At first, I wasn't so sure it was that great. But after making and eating a few of them, I'm in love. Now, I want one.

I just went to Marble Slab last night! London has two. Expensive, but TOTALLY worth it. Drool.
