Happy Valentine's Day

February 14, 2009

Nathan celebrated Valentine's Day for the first time this year. We're not really ooey gooey people so we generally don't do anything too special to celebrate at home. He probably didn't know it existed until now.

During the week, Nathan's been making Valentine's themed crafts at school. Here's his arm-less, leg-less heart person who now resides on our refrigerator door.

Since Nathan is in school now and being exposed to this thing called Valentine's Day, I thought this would be a good year to start doing something fun for Valentine's to share with his peers. I figured most preschool kids probably won't really care about the Valentine's card itself, but more about the treat, so Nathan helped me make a simple tag for his lollipops.

Happy Valen-cards Day! (As Nathan would say it)

I love the lollipops with tags - what a cute idea!

(FYI, I am totally going to steal that when I have kids.)
