Happy Birthday, Canada!

Seeing as how today may be the last time we celebrate Canada Day in Canada for another 4 years or so, I was really hoping to partake in some of the Canada Day festivities.

I was imagining spending a day out in the sun, enjoying the national pride but being on the West Coast has just made that an impossibility for us this year.

It was rainy and gross and quite frankly I was a little disappointed to see so little red and white.

My final hope was to catch a glimpse of fireworks, but being so close to the airport may have had something to do with the sky around us being so dark and firework-less.

Oh well, maybe that just means I'll have to celebrate extra hard next time when we're down under!
